Although spider veins represent the mildest stage of chronic venous insufficiency, they can be a sign of an underlying disease. This cosmetic imperfection, which occurs at a more superficial level, may be an isolated abnormality or may be associated with large varicose veins or more advanced venous insufficiency.

How do we treat spider veins?
The treatment of spider veins, telangiectasias or unsightly veins consists of eliminating them by injecting a sclerosing microfoam. This foam is prepared automatically using a sclerosing agent (polidocanol) and a sterile gas. We use the VARIXIO system, which was developed at our centre and is currently used in more than a thousand clinics worldwide.
